How to Wear Rose

Layer rose fragrances by starting with the lightest concentration on pulse points, building intensity through strategic placement and complementary scents.

Rose should smell like you walked through a garden, not like you rolled in potpourri โ€” the goal is for people to wonder what that beautiful scent is, not to announce your fragrance from across the room.

  1. Choose your rose intensity. Rose comes in three main forms: water-light rose water, medium-bodied eau de toilette, or concentrated parfum. Start with the lightest version if you're new to rose โ€” it's easier to build up than tone down.
  2. Apply to warm pulse points. Target wrists, behind ears, and the hollow of your throat where your skin runs warmest. Rose needs heat to bloom properly and these spots naturally amplify fragrance without overwhelming.
  3. Layer strategically. If using multiple rose products, apply body oil or lotion first, then fragrance. The oils help the scent cling longer while creating depth rather than just volume.
  4. Consider the rose type. Dewy morning roses work for day, deeper damask roses for evening. Bulgarian rose is classic and clean, while Turkish rose tends earthier and more complex.
