How to Build a Weekly Hand Routine

Treat your hands like your face with daily moisturizing, weekly exfoliation, and consistent cuticle care.

Your hands are in every photo and every handshake โ€” they deserve the same attention as your face, not whatever leftover energy you have at the end of your routine.

  1. Daily Foundation. Apply hand cream every time you wash your hands, which should be the same frequency you'd moisturize your face. Keep tubes everywhere โ€” kitchen sink, bathroom, desk, car. Your hands age faster than your face because they're constantly exposed and washed.
  2. Weekly Deep Clean. Sunday nights, exfoliate with a gentle scrub or washcloth to remove dead skin. Follow immediately with a thick hand mask or overnight treatment. This is when you address the buildup that daily care can't handle.
  3. Cuticle Maintenance. Push back cuticles gently after your shower when they're soft, twice a week maximum. Apply cuticle oil before bed on alternate nights. Over-manipulating cuticles creates more problems than it solves.
  4. Protection Protocol. Wear gloves for cleaning, gardening, and dish washing. Apply SPF to the backs of your hands every morning if you drive or spend time outdoors. Hand skin is thin and shows sun damage quickly.
