Monthly Hand Reset: Deep Care That Actually Works
Transform your hands monthly with a systematic approach: exfoliate, treat, moisturize deep, and protect.
Your hands tell everyone how well you take care of yourself, so treat this ritual like the monthly audit it is—systematic, thorough, and unapologetic.
- Strip and assess. Remove all polish and jewelry. Wash hands thoroughly with a gentle cleanser to see what you're working with. This is your baseline—note dry patches, rough spots, or nail issues you want to address.
- Deep exfoliation. Use a sugar scrub or make one with olive oil and brown sugar. Focus on knuckles, fingertips, and any callused areas. Scrub for 60 seconds, then rinse with warm water.
- Cuticle work. Soak fingertips in warm water for 3 minutes. Gently push back cuticles with an orange stick or cuticle pusher—never cut. Apply cuticle oil and massage into the nail bed.
- Treatment mask. Apply a thick hand cream or overnight treatment like a glove. For extra intensity, use actual cotton gloves over the cream and leave for 20-30 minutes while you do something else.
- Shape and protect. File nails to your preferred shape using one direction only. Apply a strengthening base coat or clear polish. Finish with SPF hand cream—your hands need sun protection too.
