How to Get Softer Skin All Over
Soft skin comes from consistent exfoliation, proper hydration, and protecting your moisture barrier with the right products applied to damp skin.
Soft skin is about timing, not products — the difference between good and great is applying moisturizer to wet skin, not dry.
- Exfoliate strategically. Use a body scrub or dry brush 2-3 times per week before showering. Focus on rough areas like elbows, knees, and heels. Skip your face and any sensitive areas.
- Shower smart. Keep water warm, not hot, and limit showers to 5-10 minutes. Hot water strips natural oils that keep skin soft. Use a gentle, fragrance-free body wash.
- Lock in moisture immediately. Apply body oil or cream within 3 minutes of showering while skin is still damp. This traps water in your skin and creates that coveted soft texture.
- Target problem areas. Use a thicker cream or body butter on areas that tend to be drier like elbows, knees, and heels. These spots need extra attention to match the rest of your body.
