How to Do a Bi-Weekly Body Mask Night

Exfoliate, apply mask in sections, leave for 10-15 minutes, then rinse and moisturize for softer skin.

Bi-weekly is perfect frequency—weekly is overkill that irritates your skin, monthly isn't enough to see real change.

  1. Prep your skin. Take a warm shower and gently exfoliate with a scrub or dry brush. This removes dead cells so your mask can actually penetrate. Skip harsh scrubbing—you want clean, not raw.
  2. Apply mask strategically. Start with rougher areas like elbows and knees, then work outward in sections. Use upward strokes and don't layer it thick—a thin, even coat works better. Avoid areas that bend frequently.
  3. Time it right. Set a timer for 10-15 minutes maximum. Any longer and most masks start pulling moisture from your skin instead of adding it. Use this time to relax, not to multitask.
  4. Rinse and seal. Remove with lukewarm water using gentle circular motions. Pat dry and immediately apply a rich body moisturizer while your skin is still slightly damp to lock everything in.
